Blood Knot Raw Unbleached Cotton is made from natural, unbleached cotton and personally laid on our ropewalk to produce a firm, hard-laid cordage. The firm lay produces clean, well-defined strands that hold their position while you work — particularly useful for decorative and practical knotting where definition and control matter.

Unlike soft macramé cord, Blood Knot cordage is deliberately laid firm. It resists flattening and compression, helping knots retain their shape and allowing the individual strands and turns of more intricate knotwork to remain clearly defined.

The natural cotton retains the subtle variations, occasional flecks and character you would expect from an unbleached fibre. No attempt is made to make it look artificially uniform.

Each hank is made individually to order. Because rope-making is affected by weather and all Blood Knot cordage is produced by one person, production time can vary. If an order is likely to take longer than expected, we will keep you informed.
